i really can't stand the radio, like, really. i hear it about every six months or so when i'm on a road trip, and i hear the same songs from six months prior being played over and over and over again. "modern rock" radio is one long buzzing fridge, top 40 radio is one long star search competition, and hip hop has become all bling bling, no think-ing. if it wasn't for the internet, house and techno would be dominating my listening even more than it does now, so news like this has me kind of upset. why, in the middle of the "information age", with more music available to the public than ever before, does it feel like our ability to make our own choices in what we listen to is being hindered as much as possible?
