family guy isn't the best show ever, but it's pretty darn funny. fox cancelled it because it just wasn't getting the ratings they wanted (this was after moving its time slot constantly, and ultimately leaving it to compete with survivor on thursday nights). rapid fire cancellations of tv shows seem to happen a lot though. those tv exec board meetings must be a hoot!
